AWOL

We are A.W.O.L.! We meet at least every Wednesday night at Leeds First United Methodist Church for fellowship, food, games, a message, and whatever else we decide to get into that night!

First things first, A.W.O.L. stands for Another Way Of Life. With the way things are today, everybody feels like that have to go along with the crowd... sex, drugs, alcohol, cheating, anger, fighting, jealousy, backstabbing... or they WILL get pushed around. Just because things are in your face all day every day doesn't mean you have to sacrifice who your are and more importantly, sacrifice your relationship with Christ! There is another way of life!

You have a choice! "...consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." (Romans 8:18). Things aren't tough enough to compare to His magnificent glory! And nobody said this would be easy... "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life..." (Matthew 7:13-14). We don't have to give in to the train wreck that's going on around us! We can walk boldly for Christ... GIVING as we have been given and FORGIVING as we have been forgiven. Remember that you serve THE living God and "(He) gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline" (2 Timothy 1:7).
