Children’s Minister Update

This past Sunday at our One Governance Board meeting, we approved the creation of a new part-time Children’s Minister position.  The growth in our Children’s Ministry coupled with the need for our interim director to step away makes this the right time to begin our search.

We believe, as we are sure you do, that a thriving Children’s Ministry is a necessity for the spiritual growth of our current children; for the continued growth of our Children’s Ministry; and for the health of our church as a whole.  We believe that in hiring the right person for this role, we will be able to build on the great work of our many volunteers and allow the ministry to flourish in even greater ways.

A few Sundays ago, we talked about how we, as a church, could make this position a reality if we could all dig a little deeper.  Based on the conversations we’ve had with many of you, we know that you believe we can do this, too.  Here’s what it will take: on average, every regular attender giving $10 more per month.  Of course, some can give more, and some are not in a position to give, but if we can average $10 more per month per person, this position will be fully funded without negatively impacting any other ministry in the church.  Will you prayerfully consider how you might help?

Friends, we are so excited about the great opportunity that lies before us, and we will begin our search for the right person immediately.  We hope that you will join with us in praying that God would send us the right person for this role.
