Kingdom Investment

September 4, 2025

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV)

This past Sunday we talked about Kingdom Investment—how we go about using the gifts and resources God has entrusted to us to help grow the Kingdom of God. There are all sorts of ways we already do this, but there are also many opportunities that we have to make a real difference for the Kingdom if we, like the men in the parable Jesus shared, will put our resources to work.

If you are feeling led to use your gifts and resources, but you aren’t sure where, I want to mention a few areas of need (in no particular order):

  • Children’s Ministry volunteers

  • Youth Ministry volunteers

  • Chair set up team

  • Hospitality team

  • Choir

  • Worship Team—singers and musicians

  • Toolbox Team

If you are looking for a place to help you grow, check out the list of classes and groups we have available. In addition to our ongoing Sunday school classes, two Grow groups will be starting this week: a ladies study led by Beth Pool (begins next Tuesday) and a study led by me (begins next Thursday).

And finally, as we talked about Sunday, we are in need of a Children’s Minister. As we continue to look closely at places in our budget where we might be able to find a little extra, I want to encourage us all to consider this: if we can all dig just a little deeper—as little as $10/month extra from every regular church attender—we can make that a reality.

Not everyone has the same resources—whether it is time, gifts, or financial resources—but we can all use what’s been entrusted to us. And when we do, what we get is a Kingdom return!

Friends, as we look to the future, what kind of Kingdom Investment will we make?

Grace and peace,
Brandon
